Our programs are growing and the future of career opportunities continues to grow and evolve.

As a faculty member and coordinator, I bring a wide variety of experience to the Department of Teacher Education and Kinesiology. My career has included the following positions: Admissions Counselor at Minot State University, Speech-Language Pathologist, Wellness Director and Cardiac Rehab Specialist at Trinity Health, and Department Manager of Marketing, Public Relations, and Community Education at Trinity Medical Center, owner of two fitness businesses, and Professor at Minot State University. I am also a professional speaker and travel internationally

I am the author of two books, “101 Brain Boosters” and “101 Ways to Age Gracefully”. My daughter, Katie Eckmann, and I coauthored “101 Mindfulness and Meditation Practices”. I present internationally on topics related to exercise, aging, and the brain.

I grew up in Halliday, North Dakota. I am married and have two adult children two grandchildren. I love to travel, read, walk, hike, cook, entertain, and spend time with family and friends.
