Ms. Rebecca Daigneault is an Assistant Professor and Field Coordinator of Social Work at Minot State University. She is also the Project Director of a federal grant funded by the Administration for Community Living titled "Indians into Disability Studies Project." This grant is through the North Dakota Center for Persons with Disabilities (NDCPD) at Minot State University in partnership with the Turtle Mountain Community College in Belcourt, ND. Rebecca holds a Master of Social Work degree from New Mexico State University and is a Licensed Certified Social Worker in the state of North Dakota. From 2001 to 2014, Ms. Daigneault lived and worked in Denver, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has been devoted to working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities in many different capacities. Ms. Daigneault has also led the cultural competence initiative at NDCPD for the past 3+ years including development of the Culture and Diversity Advisory Committee and the Culture and Diversity Book Club. Additionally, she is a 2016 graduate of the prestigious Leadership Institute for Cultural Diversity and Cultural and Linguistic Competence through Georgetown University. She is passionate about networking with various community organizations and entities to collaborate on disability, diversity, and increasing services to underserved populations.
