Minot State expands master’s degree in management options
Beginning this fall, students have the option of completing Minot State University’s Master of Science in Management Intercultural Cohort program in 24 months. Currently, MSU offers the Master of Science in management degree program as a 12-month intercultural program; it brings international and U.S. students together to study on campus and learn about each other’s cultures.
"This option within the Master of Science in management degree program has been requested by several potential students in our community," said Gary Ross, director of the MSM InC program, chair of the Department of Business Administration and professor of management. "The diverse nature of this cohort brings a new and exciting perspective not only to the study of management models from an American perspective, but it allows students to look beyond those models and consider what other cultures have to offer as well."
Classes will be offered either one or two nights, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, making it possible for someone to earn a master’s degree while accommodating work and home commitments. Developed by expert international faculty, the program enables students to develop leadership, management and communication skills. Graduates of the MSM InC program will be equipped to manage in today’s fast-paced and constantly changing work environment. Completing this program will make them attractive candidates in what is becoming a highly competitive marketplace.
