
Norwegian Visitors Tour Minot State
The week of Norsk Hostfest in Minot brings plenty of visitors from all across the country. On September 30th a group of Norwegian dignitaries spent their morning learning more about Minot State University.
David Fuller, Ph.D., president of Minot State University, hosted Tora Aasland, Norwegian minister of higher education and research, along with others from Norway.
The group met for breakfast with 15 leaders from Minot State as ideas and information were shared to better help the two higher education groups understand each other.
Along with Ms. Aasland, Ole Jacob Skodvin, head of the department of higher education in Norway, Heidi Dybesland, sr. advisor for the ministry of education and research, and Berit Johne, science councilor for Norway in Washington D.C., spent time on campus.
On the 30th, Minot State also welcomed visitors from Minot Public Schools, the North Dakota University System and the State Board of Higher Education, as well as visiting Professor Jan Meyer from Harstad University College in Norway.
