MSU Unity in Our Community campaign launched
The Minot State Unity in Our Community campaign officially launched at the Young
Professionals meeting on July 8. The purpose for this campaign is to bring the Minot business
community to the MSU campus and allow students, faculty, and staff to know businesses support
the university.
The campaign wants participating businesses in Minot to display a designed frame that
includes the campaign logo and three caveats. The three caveats are: the participating business
supports MSU, provides hiring opportunities to MSU students and/or graduates and speaks
highly of MSU.
The campaign participation fee will be $100 annually per business. The fees will be
directed toward one yearly event, open to the Minot community, to be held on the MSU campus.
The first event will be held during Homecoming Week, Sept. 21-28.
Young Professionals in Minot is made up of individuals between the ages of 21 and 39
and has grown to over 165 members in less than a year. The group’s mission statement is "to
create social and business networking opportunities and community enhancement projects for
young professionals in the Minot area." Any business interested in participating or further details
can contact the YP network through their Web site, www.ypminot.com or Scott Louser at
louser@minot.com.
