MSU Print Management FAQ

Minot State University IT currently tracks printer consumable use with Papercut Print Management Solutions.   Print management has been enabled in all open access printing areas across campus.  This practice enables MSU to effectively manage their printing environments, reduce costs, and promote sustainability.

Each student is allocated 500 print copies per semester.  Each time a student prints, the student must login with campus connection credentials and release the print job.  The system automatically reduces the print quota by one for each printed page.  Once the quota of 500 pages is reached, future print job requests will be rejected.  To continue printing students may purchase printing refill cards availible at the Library Circulation Desk or Administration Cashiers Window.

MSU IT reserves the right to review this practice as it is subject to change in the future.
