Athletic Scholarships

Minot State University offers a variety of athletic scholarships.

Athletic scholarships are awarded through the MSU Athletic Department. You are encouraged to contact the head coach of each sport for specific information.

General eligibility requirements to participate in athletics and/or receive athletic scholarships are:

Freshmen (High School Seniors) must meet at least one of the following criteria to receive an athletic scholarship and be eligible to practice during the first year, and must meet both criteria to further be eligible for competition:

  1. Earn at least 16 high school core courses (English, Math, Science, Social Science, Foreign Language) with a 2.000+ cumulative GPA in those courses.
  2. Attain a 68+ ACT sum score (adding up the four test sections) or 900+ SAT score (Math & Critical Reading sections only).
