Borrower´s Right to Cancel

You have a right to cancel all or a portion of your Federal Stafford Loan or Federal Plus Loan.

Student loan funds electronically transmitted to Minot State University will be credited toward institutional charges. If a credit balance exists, an excess aid check will be issued to the student.

A student may cancel all or any portion of their student loan funds within 14 days of disbursement.

If you wish to cancel all or a portion of your student loans, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 858-3375 or 800-777-0750.

Understand that by canceling all or a portion of your loan that you are responsible for any outstanding balances owed to the University, and that payment of these charges must be made prior to the cancellation of your loan.
