Communication Disorders

Trinity Homes

Each semester two - three graduate students in speech-language pathology are placed at Trinity Homes in Minot. The clients served in this setting include geriatric residents with a variety of communication disorders and some younger adult residents with various cognitive-communication deficits.

Students provide individual and group therapy addressing a variety of communication problems. The services are provided as nonbillable services and residents are referred by members of the staff. Additionally, students have opportunities to provide in-services on communication disorders for other staff. A member of the MSU Communication Disorders faculty is on site with the students each day providing supervision of the students.
