We went to the field to catch insects and zooplankton (ask the kids what this is).  Then we checked the drift fence to see if any amphibian were caught: only one small salamander today.

We went back to the lab to look closely at the possible food, then we did feeding trials to see what the amphibians liked eating, and tried to see how they ate it.  Movies are hard to take!  But Steve Deban has made a bunch of super cool movies, so check out his really neat website to see super slowmo movies:
