Education

Dr. Beachy has a B.A. from the College of Wooster (1986) and an M.S. from Western Carolina University (1988). His Ph.D. is from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette which was awarded in 1992. After completing his doctorate, he spent one year doing postdoctoral research at the Highlands Biological Station in North Carolina followed by a one-year sabbatical teaching replacement at Jamestown College in North Dakota. He arrived at Minot State University in Fall 1998 after having taught for four years at Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa.
