The AGP uses drift fences and pitfall traps at five locations in northwest North Dakota. These sites help to understand longterm population dynamics for amphibians in thoroughly agricultural settings.
This site is at Simcoe, North Dakota. It is used by one salamander species (the tiger salamander, Ambystoma mavortium, is about to fall in this pitfall trap; this is the only species of salamander in this region), and at least five species of frog.
