General Information

The 2004 Arts and Humanities Summit a two-day forum for expression, exchange, and expertise will take place October 15-16, 2004, at Minot State University, and will present the following events:

1. Scholarly Papers demonstrating the innovative and top-quality scholarship being produced by Arts and Humanities faculty and students.

2. Live Performance of Music and Theatre presenting the wealth of talent in North Dakota’s Fine Arts faculty and students.

3. Visual Art Exhibitions including juried shows of student work and a faculty show at the Taube Museum of Art in downtown Minot.

4. Live presentation of Creative Literature featuring the wit and wisdom of faculty and student poets and story-tellers.

5. Former U.S. Poet Laureate Robert Pinsky as Keynote Speaker.

6. Display booths by local and regional arts and granting agencies providing expertise and guidance for university-community interaction.

All NDUS faculty and students are invited and encouraged to attend, as is the general public, community and business leaders, local and state legislators, higher education officials, and arts professionals and supporters.

The 2004 Arts and Humanities Summit is sponsored by the State Board of Higher Education, Minot State University, MSU Alumni Association, TIAA-CREF, Niess Impressions and Marketplace Foods.
